Obsidian Entertainment’s throwback to rogue-like RPG’s, Pillars of Eternity, is receiving a second expansion pack this winter. The White March – part 2, will offer a plethora of quests and abilities for fans, while completing the main story that was begun in the original title.
In the White March, a barbarian named Meneha, pulls the player into a journey across the Eastern Reach, the snow-filled borderlands of the continent. Along with the conclusion to the story, the level cap will be raised and players can experience the main narrative quicker with the new “story time” mode that will be introduced. Pillars of Eternity was titled as a spiritual successor to Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale, and was funded on Kickstarter.
Seen as a critical and financial success, Pillars of Eternity will once again beckon fans back with hours of content. I myself have still yet to finish the main game, but to say I’m not excited that even more content is being released would be an understatement. The expansion will release in January 2016 on PC for an undetermined price at this time.
