ARK: Survival Evolved has enjoyed overwhelming success on the PC via early access on Steam ever since it began in June, with over 2 million people trying out the survival game so far. Those numbers will certainly be increasing very soon, as the early access build of ARK will also be coming to the Xbox One next week.
The new was revealed by developer Studio Wildcard, where they announced that ARK would be joining Xbox One on December 16 via the Xbox Game Preview program and will cost $34.99. The Xbox One version will come with all of the same features that were included in the PC version of the game up to this point, though the developers do say that they don’t believe that they will be able to release future updates on console at the same rate they have been on PC. However, they also say that they “do plan to keep content parity between the XGP and PC versions of the game.”
As an added bonus, when you purchase the game through the Xbox Game Preview program you will acquire the following: a bionic T-Rex skin, an ARK Founder’s Hat and an ARK Founder’s Trophy.
ARK: Survival Evolved is slated to launch in its final form for consoles and PC in June 2016.
