Playstation VR has been in the works for a few years now and after initially being said to be coming in the first half of 2016, Sony just unveiled that it will be arriving this October, along with the reveal of its price. Instantly, people were wondering when pre-orders would be going up for it and that time is almost here.
As announced by the official PlayStation blog, pre-orders for PlayStation VR will be going live this morning for the first time in the US, specifically at 10:00 am ET. This is just said to be at “participating retailers,” but you would assume the likes of Amazon, GameStop, and such will be involved.
While the headset was revealed as $399 at GDC, the pre-order this morning is for what they are calling the PlayStation VR Launch Bundle that will cost $499.
This bundle comes with the PlayStation VR headset, along with a PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move controllers, and the game PlayStation VR Worlds.
Sony states that this bundle is exclusively for pre-sale and will be in very limited quantities, so if you are interested in getting this one, I would make sure to be around this morning to lock down your pre-order. There is no telling how fast these will go, but if other highly sought after items over the last year or so are any indication, it won’t be long.
