Dengeki has revealed the release date for The King of Fighters 14 in Japan. It will be out earlier than expected, but a North American release date is still to be determined.
Dengeki Online tweeted that The King of Fighters 14 will be released in Japan on August 25th, 2016. People are hoping that the release date in other countries will still be in 2016. Atlus will be publishing the game in North America, so we have to wait for their announcement for a release date outside of Japan.
The game is only confirmed for the PS4 platform at the moment. A PC port could happen, but neither Atlus or SNK Playmore have mentioned of its existence yet.
The confirmed roster so far includes: “Tung Fu Rue, Kyo Kusanagi, Benimaru Nikaido, Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, Ryo Sakazaki, Robert Garcia, K’, Maxima, Kula Diamond, Kim Kaphwan, Luong, Chang Koehan, Choi Bounge, Mai Shiranui, King, Ralf Jones, Clark Still, Leona Heidern, Athena Asamiya, Chin Gentsai, Iori, Yagami, Vice, Angel, King of Dinosaurs, Kukri, Geese Howard, Billy Kane, Banderas Hattori, Nelson and Sylvie Paula Paula”
We will let you know when a release date is announced for North America in the near future. Hopefully it will be out in September 2016 before all of the bigger games come out.
