Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 was a great improvement on the first game when it launched earlier this year, bringing with it a story mode to go along with the already fantastic multiplayer. However, the game is set to be getting more content this Summer, and gamers will be able to download it free of charge.

EA made the announcement earlier today, with the update being called Trouble In Zombopolis: Part One. The update comes packed with a new map, two new characters, deeper customization and a new Boat Blast minigame.

The two new characters are called Toxic Citron and Breakfast Brainz, with EA revealing that “Toxic Citron must emerge from the shadows of toxicity to save the plants from Dr. Zomboss, but before he does that, he must defeat the watchful bacon-caped crusader – Breakfast Brainz.”

There are also a ton of balancing and gameplay fixes coming with the new update, which addresses things like server stability, character balancing, UI issues and a lot more. You can check out the complete patch notes by clicking right here.
