Fallout 4 Far Harbor marks the third DLC release for the hugely popular RPG title. It also is the last of the currently announced DLC expansions, with Bethesda having announced all three earlier this year. There was an expectation that Fallout 4 would receive more DLC, though fans weren’t sure if that was the case, or exactly when those add-ons might arrive. Bethesda has cleared up a little bit of that today though, announcing that Fallout 4 would receive more DLC add-ons, and that some of them would even arrive later this year.
In a press release celebrating the launch of Far Harbor, Bethesda said “Stay tuned for more details on even more add-ons to be released in 2016, and on free updates like Mods which is now available on PC. Mods will be coming to Xbox One players later this month and to PlayStation 4 players in June.”
This is certainly great news for fans of Fallout 4, especially those who purchased the Season Pass. That pass was originally offered for $29.99, but had its price raised after Bethesda announced expanded DLC plans for the game. Now we are seeing some of those plans come together with this announcement.
Exactly when we will hear about these newly promised add-ons is not known, though E3 is less than a month away. In fact, Bethesda will be hosting their second E3 Showcase, so more Fallout 4 news will almost certainly come from that. Whether it will be a full rundown of the upcoming DLC, or just a promise of more will have to wait to be seen.
