Titanfall 2 will feature a proper single player campaign for the very first time in the series. Respawn is teasing that the campaign will not be like many other FPS video games out there.

CNET had a chance to interview several developers from Respawn Entertainment who are currently working on Titanfall 2 at the moment. They are hyping up the campaign to be something special.

They said: “It really isn’t your average linear, for lack of a better word, corridor FPS. It’s not like you’re getting pulled through this series of explosions or people yelling at you. There’s going to be very quiet moments where you’re taking in a broad environment and you have to figure out how you’re going to traverse it.”

The last sentence sounds like the game will be similar to that of Killzone: Shadow Fall. That game had fairly large levels and you weren’t told what to do all of the time. You just had to figure out where to go and find out things for yourself.

It’s also great to see that the campaign will also let players have a rest. In the Call of Duty games, the pace is always fast and there’s never a time to just sit back and admire the scenery…
