[Update: The same demo has been announced for North America and Europe as the “Last Chance Trial.” The demo will run from 12:00 AM on January 21st and will end at 11:59PM on January 22nd. The file size is 7.48GB and you can pre-download it by clicking right here.]
Koei Tecmo has revealed that Team Ninja’s Nioh will be getting one more demo before the game’s highly-anticipated launch next month, though this one will be available for a much shorter time than the previous ones. They said that the “Final Demo” will be available on January 21st through the Japanese PlayStation Store, though there was no confirmation regarding a release in other regions.
As for what fans can expect with this new beta, it will once again feature improvements over the previous versions that are the result of fan feedback. It will also offer fans the ability to acquire free content for the game if they complete parts of it, with the completion of the “Feelings towards Higan” granting users the “Demon’s Face” helmet and a crafting recipe to create it. Also, if you didn’t play the previous demos then you will also have the chance to earn the rewards that were featured in those demos.
This should be a decent challenge, however, seeing as it will only be available to play for two days. It will be available to pre-download on January 20th, before kicking off on January 21st at 00:00 Japan Time and ending January 22nd at 23:59. Again, there’s no confirmation on whether or not this will come to the West, but if that’s announced we’ll be sure to let you know.
Beyond the aforementioned “Feelings towards Higan” missions, the demo will also include the “Basic Controls” and “Action Controls” tutorials. Singe player missions “Bloody Flower of Hell” and “Invitation from the Invincible of the West” will also be available, as well as the multiplayer missions “Summoning the Rare Beast” and “Escorting Hideyoshi.”
Nioh will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on February 7th, with a livestream showing off a new stage from the game being held later this week.
