Nintendo has definitely has a big start to 2017 with the launch of the Nintendo Switch coming earlier this month. The console launched with one of the best games ever made in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and we know of a few other games coming up, but E3 is going to be very interesting to watch based on some comments by Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.
Fils-Aime has definitely been making the rounds since the launch of the Switch and his latest interview was done with Fox News. E3 became a topic of discussion during this interview, part of which as seen below has been transcribed by Nintendo Everything.
“E3 is always a big time for Nintendo. We look at each E3 as a unique opportunity to tell our story. And we’re gonna have a big E3 this year. We’re going to be showcasing a variety of games. We will have experiences for… consumers will be able to attend the show for the very first time. So I’m not gonna tell you all of the various games and all of our little secrets for E3, but I can tell you that E3 is going to be a major opportunity for us to showcase not only Nintendo Switch, but also content coming to Nintendo 3DS.”
One big detail that Fils-Aime leaves out however is whether Nintendo will be holding a live press conference like they used to or if it will simply be a pre-recorded Direct like video that will be accompanied with Treehouse Live stuff on the show floor like we’ve seen in recent years.
Games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and supposedly Arms will be out before E3, but we already have other games like Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, and even Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that could get shown off, in addition to hopefully a number of unannounced games as well.
