The wait is finally over to get our hands on Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ, the new fighting game based on the world-famous anime, which promises to be one of the best videogame adaptations ever based on the franchise. Today the publisher has released a launch trailer which features plenty of comments by reviewers celebrating the game’s quality and accuracy in its portrayal of the legendary battles that fans love. The trailer also serves as a review of most of the character roster and the varied selection of stages along with the spectacular cutscenes and special moves that can be performed in battle.
Along with the launch trailer, the company has also revealed an in-depth look at Android 21, the only character especially created for this game under the supervision of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, and who plays a major part in the story. Android 21 is capable of adopting the fighting styles of her enemies, as we can see from the transformations in the video.
In the last few days, Bandai Namco has given a detailed look at the in-game currency system present in the game in order to purchase accesories and other items. Despite early rumors indicating the existance of loot boxes supported on real money, the company has assured fans that it’s only accessible through coins earned through the game.
Dragon Ball FighterZ launches in January 26 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Watch the trailers below.
