If you’re a gamer, particularly an Xbox gamer, chances are you’ve at least heard of Halo. It remains to be seen if a new entry in the main series will be coming any time soon, but in the meantime, a new arcade game called Halo: Fireteam Raven will be coming to arcades this year.

It was recently announced that Halo developer 343 Industries has teamed up with Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix to bring the world-famous franchise to arcades. Halo: Fireteam Raven will be an actual, coin-operated arcade game encased in a massive arcade cabinet with a 130-inch, 4K screen. Up to four players can play the game at once, with each player taking control of a turret-mounted machine gun. Narratively, the game takes place during the events of Halo: Combat Evolved, with players taking control of Fireteam Raven, a group of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers who will fight the alien Covenant alongside Master Chief on Alpha Halo.

Eugene Jarvis, the CEO of Raw Thrills, states, “Halo: Fireteam Raven is without a doubt, the most spectacular arcade experience we’ve ever made,” while 343 Industries’ Head of Halo Transmedia, Kiki Wolfkill, says, “Arcade games are a wholly different challenge compared to console and PC gaming, and we’ve learned a tremendous amount as we worked with Raw Thrills to make this happen.”

Halo: Fireteam Raven will come to Dave & Busters restaurant arcades in the United States and Canada first this summer, before appearing at other locations at a later date.
