Bandai Namco has announced that Code Vein will release in 2019 instead of the planned late-September release of this year. While the game has seen a positive reception from fans since it was announced last year, the reasoning that Bandai Namco gives for the delay seems to be pretty standard.
According to a press release from the publisher, “Armed with knowledge of how well the game has already been received, we made the decision to postpone the release of Code Vein to further refine its gameplay in an effort to exceed the expectations fans already have of the title. It was a difficult decision to make, but we feel it is the correct one.
Oddly enough Bandai Namco has shifted from an exact release date in September to a very vague “2019” release. At this point we don’t know exactly how long Code Vein has been delayed until. It could be a few months, or up to 15 months if the 2019 window holds.
When it does finally arrive, Code Vein is still slated for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
