V Rising Waygates: “You Cannot Teleport While Carrying Resources” Explained

Recommended Videos

In the world of V Rising, you’ll need to make sure that you’re always making new materials to keep your castle looking great, to make sure that you can repair your gear, and to make sure that you’re always ready for the next step ahead. However, if you’ve been getting out in the world, and need to make it back to your castle before the sun comes up, you may find yourself in a bit of a jam. You’re not able to use the Vampire Waygate if you’re carrying resources, so you’ll need to find another way back.

But, why can’t you fast travel if you’re carrying resources? Let’s dive into it, and see if it’s a glitch, bug, or feature in the game! Here’s why you’re running into the “You Cannot Teleport While Carrying Resources” issue!

Fast Travel Issues in V Rising

V-Rising-paper-how-to

Since V Rising has multiplayer elements, you’ll need to be on the lookout if you’re coming across other players, if you’re on a server that supports PVP battles. However, if there is no PVP, you may still run into issues, where you’re coming across the dawn breaking and you need to get back to your castle as soon as possible. You spot a Vampire Waygate in the distance, and want to travel back to your home, but find that you’re coming across an issue: you cannot travel with resources.

This is because it is a feature of the game, rather than a glitch or a bug. This is because the game is very dependent on its ability to farm different materials, so rather than letting players just continue to go back and forth between one location over and over again, you’ll need to also try to survive on your way back, making the stakes a little higher in the game. Rather than allowing players to build up their castle to its maximum potential as fast as possible, you need to think before you act.

However, if you’re not carrying resources, you’ll be able to get between different locations quickly with the Vampire Waygates, and they’ll also come in handy to be a respawning point if you are defeated in battle. If you are looking to bring lots of resources back from your adventures, it would be strongly recommended to learn how to become a wolf quickly or get your hands on a horse, so you can cover distances much quicker than you can on foot.

V Rising is available now, in early access, on Microsoft Windows.
