Newest Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn entry tells you what it’s like to be put into Cryo

343i’s latest attempt to show us what daily life is like as a recruit in the Corbulo Academy is pretty darn poignant. Hell, it’s downright haunting. It also has us anxiously checking the calendar and counting the days until that Halo 4 release date on November 6th.

The newest entry in the Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn web-series follows two UNSC recruits as they discuss cryo-sleep. I had always imagined it’d be quite chilly, like sleeping without a blanket in the middle of winter and being forced to deal with the frustration of not being able to reach for one. But as it turns out, a blonde recruit tells us that it’s actually much more somber, and that it in fact feels “like dying, and then waking up again.” A bit more frightening than a sleepless winter night.
