Nintendo is finally set to reveal the release date and price for the Wii U. Nintendo will unveil the nitty gritty details of their next-gen console at press event in New York City. It is here where Nintendo is expected to announce a release date that falls somewhere in late November for the Wii U, which will give the company a good head start on the holiday season during Black Friday.
Nintendo will also be revealing this information during a Nintendo Direct preview event happening via live stream. You can find the Nintendo Direct coverage here, which is set to begin on Thursday, September 13th.
Nintendo could have a few tricks up their sleeves for the world wide launch announcement, so we’ll be paying close attention to news coming out of New York. If they don’t, expect a focus on Nintendoland titles and the large list of third party titles that are already slated to arrive on the console alongside the obligatory first person bread and butter for the company.
