Two YouTubers have physical speaking roles in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, while several other creators (very briefly) appear as photographs on an employee of the month board. One of these content creators has been an incredibly well-kept secret, so come back later if you want to avoid the surprise.

Here are all YouTuber Cameos in the Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie:

  • MatPat (Game Theory) — Diner waiter
  • CoryxKenshin — Taxi driver

Employee of the Month photograph only:

  • 8-bit Ryan
  • Baz
  • Razzbowski
  • Dawko
  • FusionZGamer

CoryxKenshin’s speaking appearance and the Employee of the Month board can be seen in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie trailer below. MatPat’s appearance, on the other hand, was a welcome surprise that had me grinning from ear to ear. Fans were convinced Mat wasn’t in the FNAF movie due to his heartbreaking reaction to the initial trailer showcasing his fellow creators. Once a theatre kid, always a theatre kid.

In the Five Nights at Freddy’s film, CoryxKenshin takes on the role of a taxi driver, as shown in the second trailer, where he is seen driving Golden Freddy and Abby Schmidt. Cory DeVante Williams, also known as CoryxKenshin, is a YouTuber who has been active on the platform since 2009. He is most recognized for his Let’s Play videos of horror games, including the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. CoryxKenshin has also been featured in Youtooz figures and pins that depict characters from Five Nights at Freddy’s. He has been granted early access to demos for various Five Nights at Freddy’s games, including an exclusive demo for Ultimate Custom Night that was featured in the Steam trailer.

MatPat (Game Theory)

MatPat, the brains behind Game Theory, is a YouTuber best known for his entertaining theory videos covering lore, hidden meanings, mechanics, and secret details of popular video games. Matthew Robert “MatPat” Patrick appears as a waiter in a diner scene, sneaking in his iconic “just a theory” quote when talking about lunch being the most important meal of the day.

Mat’s videos have had a monumental effect on the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise, being one of the first content creators to correctly summarise FNAF’s early lore and predict future reveals and plot points. Some fans even joke that Scott Cawthon deliberately changed story elements to throw Mat off, but that’s just a theory.

Is Markiplier in the Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie?

Markiplier

The most notable YouTuber missing from the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is Markiplier. Mark Edward Fischbach, also known as Markiplier, is a famous Let’s Play content creator who joined YouTube in 2012. He is recognized for his frequent playthroughs of horror video games, including all of the main series Five Nights at Freddy’s games. With 114 million views on his first FNAF video, many consider Mark essential for the franchise’s success.

Markiplier was invited to appear in Five Nights at Freddy’s; however, a schedule conflict with his upcoming Iron Lung movie meant he was sadly unable to attend the filming. In a YouTube comment, series creator Scott Cawthon said that if he’s “fortunate enough to work on a sequel, then hopefully we will have another shot at getting [Markiplier] into a FNAF movie!”

If the post-credits are anything to go by, we may see the king of FNAF star alongside Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy in the future — and we will be watching.
