Fortnite Battle Royale has recently arrived on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC as a free to play download. While PC gamers have had access to the early access of version of the incredibly popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, this is a good introduction to the genre for console players. While the wait is on for PUBG to finally arrive on the Xbox One, Fortnite is a solid option in that it copies many of mechanics of Bluehole’s shooter.
So the question is how to change your character in Fortnite Battle Royale. The answer at the moment is that the look of your character in Battle Royale for Fortnite is completely random and will be different almost every match. Unlike PUBG, there are no customization options at the moment. This means that the gender of your character and their appearance cannot be customized through any menu system in the game.
Fortnite is in Early Access right now and new features and updates are being rolled out to it pretty frequently. It would not be surprising for Epic Games to add a customization feature for the Battle Royale mode as they’ve copied just about every other aspect of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds up to this point.
Seeing as the game just launched, there really isn’t that much variety in terms of your character or their outfit, but those looking to change their character in Fortnite Battle Royale or customize them in any way are going to have to wait for an update if/when it happens.
