Can You Play Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds With A Controller?

Recommended Videos

Fans of the newest MMO set in the Ni No Kuni universe may be wondering if they can play Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds like its more traditional counterpart. Since there are ways to turn off the auto-battle and auto-explore options in the world, you may want to pick up a controller and kick back to enjoy the beautiful world that Level-5 Games and Studio Ghibli have created.

Since this game is not available on consoles, and only on PC and Mobile at the time of writing, you may want to find out if the game has controller support in any way, or if you will be confined to using the default control methods. Let’s take a look and see if Ni No Kuni offers any form of controller support!

Control Types In Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

Unfortunately, there is currently no option to use controllers while playing this title. If you are playing on a PC, you could try to use a program like XInput to map different keys to your controller, but don’t expect them to work. As the game continues to develop and gain traction, this may be an option that is added later in the development cycle, but currently, you are only allowed to use default control methods.

There’s currently no way to even remap keys in the game if you are playing on PCso what you’ve got is what you can use. This means that players who are using mice with extra keys, or other PC peripherals may not be able to utilize them to their full potential, either. This seems like a bit of an oversight, much like its lack of cross-region support, but we may just need to wait a little while longer. Since Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds launched on May 25th, millions of players have found their way into the world, so there is plenty of attention being paid to the title.

This also means that players that do not particularly like touch screen controls but prefer to play on their mobile devices are out of luck, too. There seems to be quite a bit of feedback being spread about these issues online, on social sites like Reddit, and we can only hope that the developers see the feedback and begin to work on ways to implement this into their newest title.

While the game is fun to explore on your own, you may want to bring your friends along for the ride. Make sure that you start to learn how the gatcha system works in the game before you start trying to pull, as well, since it depends fairly heavily on luck to get the strongest Familiars in the game. With the early attention this game has earned, we are bound to see countless updates that continue adding new content, familiars, and mounts along the way. Keep yourself in the know with our helpful guides, as we continue to update them alongside this exciting new MMORPG!

Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds is available now on mobile devices, and PC.
