Far Cry 6: Where to Use the Mysterious Key – Guau Guau Island Locked Chest

Recommended Videos

When you recruit Chorizo in Far Cry 6, you will receive a Mysterious Key as a reward. This key doesn’t open or unlock anything nearby, so it’s not quite clear what exactly you’re supposed to do with it. Most keys in Far Cry 6 are used to open doors or chests that are close by, but the Mysterious Key is actually meant to be used in an entirely different part of the map. With this key in hand, you’ll return to an old location and get your hands on some new gear. Here’s where to use the Mysterious Key in Far Cry 6.

How to Get the Mysterious Key in Far Cry 6

The Mysterious Key is obtained after you recruit Chorizo as an Amigo. Chorizo’s initial recruitment quest is called “Who’s A Good Boy?” and requires you to obtain some Yaran Crocodile meat. After you bring it back and feed it to Chorizo, you’ll unlock a second mission called “Fetch Quest.” In this mission, Chorizo leads you around Montero Farm and digs up various items and resources for you to take. The Mysterious Key is one of these rewards.

Where to Use the Mysterious Key

If you inspect the Mysterious Key in your inventory, then you will see that it has the words “Guau-Guau” etched into the side and that Dani “thought I saw that on a beach somewhere on Isla Santuario.” Isla Santuario is the starting area of the game located in the bottom left corner of the map, and the Mysterious Key unlocks a chest on Guau-Guau Island.

To get back to Isla Santuario, simply fast travel to Clara’s Camp or any of the other friendly Guerilla locations that you’ve unlocked on the island. Guau-Guau Island is a small island located in Casas Cover off the coast of the town of Armonia. Once you arrive on the island, you can find the locked chest sitting on the sands of the southern coast.

Inside the chest is a special weapon called “Fuck Anton.” This is a unique AK-47 that comes equipped with a few perks like Poison Rounds and a Muzzle Brake by default. It also has abilities like improved aimed weapon damage and improved move speed while aiming. It’s a great piece to add to your arsenal, especially if you’re still early in the game. It’s also required to unlock the “Armed to the Teeth” achievement, which requires you to collect all 49 unique weapons in the game.

Far Cry 6 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
