Genshin Impact: Heizou Weapon, Element, Abilities, and More Leaks

Recommended Videos

When Heizou was first revealed via social media platforms, he took the landscape of Genshin Impact by storm due to his untypical abilities. As news and leaks circulated regarding the Inazuman male, people quickly recognized that this was a character that delivered on the fantasy of being a close and personal brawler, the first of his kind. This curiosity lends itself to other intrigues regarding the individual, such as his element, abilities, and his weapon of choice. This article will elaborate upon these aspects, and what Mihoyo is attempting to accomplish with his character design.

What’s there to know about Heizou’s Weapon, Element, Abilities, and more in Genshin Impact

Heizou is the first male Anemo Catalyst user to debut in Genshin Impact, with abilities built for imbuing his punches and kicks with the power of wind as he pummels his opponents. Those aspects stood out due to him being a catalyst user that didn’t partake in delivering sorceries or projectiles from afar. The introduction of Heizou could potentially lead to future characters with individual move sets that don’t reinforce the tropes of their respective weapon types.

To go more in-depth regarding Heizou’s abilities. His Elemental Skill, Heartstopper Strike is a chargeable Anemo punch that gains stacks the longer he charges up the attack. After obtaining the maximum stacks of 4, Heizou lets out a powerful punch with additional damage. His Elemental Burst, Windmuster Kick is a close hitting airborne kick that releases a ball projectile that explodes upon coming in contact with enemies previously infused by Hydro, Electro, Pyro, or Cryo, dealing AOE damage to hostile targets.

External sources would point to Heizou arriving on the first half of patch 2.8, which starts on the 13th of July, as indicated by official announcements. As for his signature weapon or coinciding weapon banners. Due to the leaks regarding him being a 4-star character in rarity, it is likely that he won’t have a catalyst to go alongside his release, but will instead have to wait until a later date for a weapon specifically tailored towards his kit.

That is not to suggest that he can’t utilize any of the existing weapons, as he could probably make good use of damage-oriented catalysts like The Widsith or Lost Prayers to the Sacred Winds. For players hoping to get to know the characters in terms of personality and characteristics, the patch is slated to arrive with a hangout quest dedicated to the Anemo fighter. But until then, players will have to hold their curiosities as they stare at the gameplay clips that’s been data-mined.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
