Today, HoYoverse surprised the Genshin Impact community by officially revealing Shikanoin Heizou, a new character set to debut during the game’s version 2.8, which will be, according to many known leakers and sources, one of the last versions focused on Inazuma before the title shifts it’s focus to Sumeru. But who is Heizou? To answer that and more, here’s everything we know about Genshin Impact’s upcoming character Shikanoin Heizou.

Who is Shikanoin Heizou

According to the official information revealed together with his character profile, Shikanoin Heizou will be the Tenryou Commission’s top Detective. Heizou is described as not only having a wild imagination but also as someone capable of making use of meticulous logic and reasoning. He also possesses a sharp intuition, a skill indispensable for someone in his field of work.

Vision, Constellation, and Weapon

According to HoYoverse and as showcased in his official images, Heizou will be an Anemo vision welder. But that’s not all, as, although his weapon of choice was not officially revealed, according to known leaker Lumie, he will be Genshin Impact’s first male catalyst wielder, as well as the game’s second Anemo catalyst user overall. His constellation will be the Cervus Minor.

Release Date

Taking into account HoYoverse’s previous character reveals, Shikanoin Heizou will most likely be released during Genshin Impact’s upcoming version 2.8, but taking into account that the game’s version 2.7 was indefinitely delayed, fans may have to wait a while to be able to take the new Anemo Catalyst user to the field. With that said, according to known leaker UBatcha, the beta test for the game’s version 2.8 is set to begin in a few days, so is possible that details regarding both Shikanoin Heizou’s skills and overall kit will be part of it.

Genshin Impact is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices – Android, and iOS.
