Pokemon GO Fest Guide

How to Prepare for Pokemon GO Fest 2022

Recommended Videos

If you’re an avid Pokemon GO player, one of the best times of the year is when a new Pokemon GO Fest is announced. On top of new Pokemon to find out in the wild, you’ll be able to participate in a new set of Special Research Tasks, special Costumed, Legendary Pokemon, and so much more.

If you’ve taken the dive on the $14.99 Entry Price, or are planning to participate in the free alternative, you’ll find plenty of activities to partake in. Here’s what you need to do to get yourself ready for the newest, and most exciting Pokemon GO Fest to date!

Pokemon GO Fest – June 4th and June 5th, 2022

Even if you don’t live in Berlin, Seattle or Sapporo, you’ll still be able to partake in all of the events that are happening around the globe, but players in those specific locations will get to be together and experience some special events, plus make some new friends in the game! If you’re looking to participate in the Go Fest activities, these are things you’ll need to do. Pokemon GO Fest runs on June 4th and June 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. Tickets are available for $14.99, but there are plenty of things to do for free players, as well.

Make Sure You Have Plenty Of Pokeballs

As you know, the main objective of Pokemon GO is to catch as many Pokemon as possible and make sure that you’re working towards evolving them, powering them up, and becoming even better buddies than ever before. You’ll need to make sure that you’re getting as many Pokeballs, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls as possible, and one great way to make sure that you’re saving some extra cash is by going to Pokestops for spins.

When you visit a Pokestop, you’ll be granted some free items, ranging from Pokeballs to Potions, and this is a great way to avoid spending any extra cash. Logging in every day, you’ll also be able to redeem a Free Box, which gives you extra items. These items change daily, so make sure you’re checking back every day!

If you’re out and about, make sure that you have something like the Pokemon GO Plus, or an Auto Catcher Device to make sure that you’re taking advantage of every Pokestop you can find, all without having to bring your phone out! These can help you get a full item pouch quickly, so you’ll be as ready as possible during the event.

Spend Your Hard Earned Pokecoins Right

If you’ve powered up your Pokemon a fair amount, there’s a good chance that you’ve been taking over the Gyms in your area, earning Pokecoins when you do so. If you’ve earned enough of them, you’ll be able to upgrade your Items Bag, as well as the amount of Pokemon Storage you have. When you first start the game, you start with a very small amount, and especially for an event like GO Fest, you’ll want to make sure that you have as much room as possible.

Each upgrade costs 200 Pokecoins, roughly equal to about $2, so if you have the extra coins, start increasing the number of items and Pokemon you can carry now. You have a few weeks before the big event, so you can continue to earn coins and expand your storage.

Make Sure You’re Prepared In Real Life

While there are plenty of ways to make sure that you’re ready in the game, you’ll also need to make sure that you’re prepared in real life, as well. Making sure you’ve gotten your hands on some of the items that we’ve recommended in the past is a great way to make sure that you’re prepared and ready to go for the fun ahead. Especially things like an external battery pack, so you’ll be able to be in the middle of the fun all day long. Extra cords, a water bottle, and make sure you’re dressed properly can make or break the fun that you have. We recommend grabbing a pair of shorts, as well, since they’re comfy and easy to wear!

And that’s what we recommend that you need to do to prepare for Pokemon GO Fest! Sporting the team you chose at the beginning of the game on a t-shirt or having snacks could also help you come across some new people to play the game with, as well as maybe some new friends for life.

Pokemon GO is available now on mobile devices.
