The Evil Dead franchise is one that has seen its ups and downs. With the announcement of a game based on the franchise, many fans remained skeptical but hopeful. There is always a chance to get burned when a new game comes out and you spend $60 on it just for it to be dead a few months down the line. However, Xbox Game Pass has given players a bit of a safety net when it comes to new releases. The question is though, will the new Evil Dead game be available on Xbox Game Pass on launch? Let’s go over if it will.

Will the Evil Dead Game be on Xbox Game Pass

Sadly the game will not be on the Xbox Game Pass at launch.  The only way you will be playing this game is by purchasing it on your respective console’s store, or the Epic Game Store on PC. This means if you want to play it on launch you will also need to pay the full $40 price tag to experience the game for yourself. You can just wait a bit after the launch and see how the public reacts to it and make a decision for yourself then.

It is always a concern when a major movie or TV show franchise decides to throw its hat into the gaming industry. Most tie-in games never seem to do well. Just recently, the Predator got a game in a style of one versus many gameplay although the game seemed decent, it is quite dead currently. This doesn’t mean all movie tie-in games are doomed to fail, but it does make most people warry when they hear that their favorite franchise is getting a tie-in game.

Once the game does go live, you can be sure that we will have a review up quickly for it. If you need any help while playing through the game on your own make sure to check out our other guides for Evil Dead the game.

Evil Dead: The Game launches on May 13, 2022, on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and PC via Epic Games Store.
