November 2021 is finally here, and that means there’s a new set of Raids, Spotlight Hours, and events coming to Pokemon Go. October saw a Halloween event, new special research, and much more, and November seems to be bringing even more things for Pokemon Go fans to enjoy. Not only will players get to experience the usual Spotlight Hours and Raids, but they’ll also be treated to two new events this month. Here’s is the complete November 2021 event schedule for Pokemon Go, including Spotlight Hours, Raids, Community Day, and more.

Pokemon Go November 2021 Spotlight Hour Schedule

As always, Spotlight Hours will take place every Tuesday during the month of November from 6:00-7:00 PM local time. Here are all the featured Pokemon this month:

  • November 2 – Cacnea (2x catch Candy)
  • November 9 – Chinchou (2x transfer Candy)
  • November 16 – Turtwig (2x catch Stardust)
  • November 23 – Chimchar (2x catch XP)
  • November 30 – Piplup (2x catch Candy)

This month places heavy emphasis on fourth-generation Pokemon, especially the three Sinnoh starters. This is to coincide with the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which hit Nintendo Switch on November 19. There will be a limited-time event when those games release, so stay tuned for more information.

November 2021 Pokemon Go Raids

Darkrai will remain in five-star raids for the first few days of the month, but it’ll be phased out on November 5 with a new selection of raid Pokemon. The same goes for Mega Absol, which will be replaced on November 5 by another Mega Pokemon. Here are all the November 2021 Pokemon Go raids:

  • November 5-16: Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion
  • November 5-16: Mega Manectric
  • November 16 – December 1: Cresselia
  • November 16 – December 1: Mega Lopunny

November will also feature weekly Raid Hours like in previous months. These happen every Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 PM local time.

  • November 3: Darkrai
  • November 10: Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion
  • November 17: Cresellia
  • November 24: Cresselia

Festival of Lights Event

The Festival of Lights event will run from Friday, November 5 at 10:00 AM local time to Sunday, November 14 at 8:00 PM local time. Not much is currently known about this event, but according to Niantic, “it’s time to celebrate light overcoming darkness with an all-new event!” More information will be revealed as the event draws nearer.

Dia de Muertos Pokemon Go Event

For a limited time from November 1 to November 2, Pokemon Go will hold an in-game Dia de Muertos celebration event for trainers around the world. Just like the Festival of Lights, not much is currently known about this event. It will only last for two days though, so don’t expect too much.

Shinx Community Day

November 2021’s Community Day will focus on Shinx, the electric-type Pokemon from the Sinnoh region. During Shinx Community Day, Shinx will appear more frequently in the wild. Also, evolving Shinx into Luxio during the event will allow players to get a Luxray that knows the Psychic Fangs Charged Attack.

Vullaby Research Breakthrough

Vullaby will replace Yamask as this month’s research breakthrough Pokemon, so players will be able to encounter the Dark/Flying-type Pokemon very frequently during the month of November. It will be featured from November 1 at 1 PM PDT to December 1 at 1 PM PST.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Event

An event will be held in Pokemon Go to commemorate the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on the Nintendo Switch. It will last from November 16 to November 21, but Niantic has not yet provided any additional information regarding this event.

Season of Mischief Finale

From November 26 to November 29, players who have completed the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research story will be able to unlock a new Special Research story regarding Hoopa. More information about this event will be revealed closer to its start date.
