While the Resident Evil 2 Remake is chock full of useful and interesting items, few are as powerful or important as the Hip Pouch. These little unlockables will actually let you carry more equipment with you. With a game that relies so heavily on inventory management, that’s the difference between success and horrible, gory death. But where do you find these little guys? We’re here to help. Hip Pouch Locations in RE2 Remake
The first one you are likely to see, isn’t the first one you can get. As you run into the locker room, you’ll find that you need a few more things before you can get to the Hip Pouch tucked into a locker here. In contrast, there’s another Hip Pouch near here that you can get early, if you’re willing to read ahead a little bit. The West Office has a safe in it, with one of these valuable items inside. How do you get in? Check out this guide to find out.
Another easy one to grab while inside the RPD building is found in the West Storage Room. This is up on the third floor, and requires no real work on your part. Head through the West Office and past the Locker Room, then all the way up the stairs. Follow the hallway and you’ll be in this dingy, junk filled room. Inside, on a table is another Hip Pouch.
Your last trek through RPD, or below it to be more specific, is where you’ll find the next Hip Pouch in RE2. Dubbed the Operator’s Room, the item is hidden within a locker, which you can find after defeating the G-Virus infected William Birkin for the first time. The rest of the Hip Pouches in Resident Evil 2 Remake are outside of RPD, so if you haven’t left that location, just be patient. The next one you’ll want to grab is hidden within the Sewer area, specifically the Workroom. To get here, you need to have the key to this room, so keep playing until you find it. Once you have it, head to the Workroom on the map, unlock the door, head inside, and grab the coveted item.
The sixth and final Hip Pouch is found in NEST, Umbrella’s secret lab below Raccoon City. To get to it, you need the Signal Modulator (guide forthcoming). Use it in the Nap Room to open the doors and grab your final inventory expanding item inside.
Note: Scenario B shifts it so that one Hip Pouch is in the Main Hall. You should find it right on the table near where the typewriter used to be.
