Super Smash Bros. Ultimate How to Unlock Young Link

Recommended Videos

It can be pretty hard to unlock Young Link in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s World of Light, so if you’re having a hard time figuring it out, here’s what you’ll have to do. Keep in mind, however, that this article will contain spoilers for World of Light, since you can only unlock Young Link after you’ve defeated antagonist Galeem.

After beating Galeem, you’ll be transported to a dark world with a whole new map. Travel to the bottom left of this new map and you’ll eventually come to a transport panel that will take you to an area called Sacred Land. You can also unlock Zelda in this area, so click here if you want to learn how to do that first. For Young Link, however, you’ll want to start by going to the forest area to the bottom right of the Sacred Land area. Towards the left side of the forest, you’ll find an owl statue that will tell you to go east, then south, then south again. From this statue, walk east (right) until you have the option to go down. Head down, but instead turning right with the path, continue going down until you find yourself in a secret area off the path. This will cause a new owl statue to appear.

Go to this new owl statue, which will tell you to go north, west, north, and north again. Go up from the statue, turning left when you’re given the option, then turning up when given the option, which will take you to a lake. Continue north, jumping into the lake. This will take you to a new area where you’ll have to battle the Spirit of Saria. Winning this battle will cause a log that was previously blocking your path to disappear. Leave this secret area the same way you entered it, taking you back to the lake you jumped into. Travel to the right to where the log used to be, and continue down the previously blocked path. This will take you to Young Link. Battling and winning against Young Link will unlock him, allowing you to play as him in World of Light, as well as the rest of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
