Fortnite Carnage Symbiote

Where to Find the Carnage and Venom Symbiotes in Fortnite

Recommended Videos

The Venom and Carnage Symbiotes have arrived in Fortnite as new Mythic weapons, shaking up the Season 8 meta in exciting ways. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 began last week after the climactic Operation Sky Fire event, and now mysterious new zones called The Sideways have appeared on the island. Carnage is included in the Season 8 Battle Pass and Venom has been in the game for a while as an Item Shop skin, but now players can harness the powers of these Marvel villains in Battle Royale matches. Here’s how to find and equip the Carnage and Venom Symbiotes in Fortnite.

Fortnite Symbiote Mythics Explained

The two Symbiotes are Mythic weapons, which are the rarest items in all of Fortnite. They have powerful passive abilities and devastating attacks when equipped. When you pick up either of the Symbiotes, you will have low-gravity jumps and be able to redeploy your glider at any time while in midair.

When you have a Symbiote equipped, you can shoot it to deal 60 damage to an enemy and pull them toward you. This attack has a 10-second cooldown. If you also have a shotgun in your inventory, this can lead to an easy elimination. Both the Carnage and Venom Symbiotes have these abilities. The only difference between the two is their appearance.

Fortnite Carnage and Venom Symbiotes Location

At the start of each match, the Carnage and Venom Symbiotes will be marked on the map after the first storm circle appears. They can appear in several places on the island. For example, the Carnage Symbiote can appear near Corny Crops while the Venom Symbiote has a chance to spawn near Lazy Lake.

Each Symbiote is contained in a canister that glows either red or black depending on the character. Simply interact with the canister to equip the Symbiote and gain access to the new abilities. You can only hold one Symbiote at a time, but there’s nothing stopping a squad from having two people with each one equipped.

The Symbiotes are hot items right now, and since they’re marked on the map, tons of players will swarm their spawn locations at the start of each round. Be careful when dropping in an area with one of them. Also, you can take a Symbiote from someone by eliminating them, just like with any other Mythic. It may be worth it to wait for someone else to take it and let the fighting die down before you swoop in for the steal.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
