An actress just dressed as Katy Perry for Halloween, and the photo with Orlando Bloom is raising eyebrows

An actress named Rachel Lynn Matthews got people talking online after she dressed up as Katy Perry for Halloween and took pictures with Perry’s ex, Orlando Bloom. The photos spread quickly on social media, and a lot of people had questions about why she picked this particular costume.

Matthews is known for being in Happy Death Day. For Halloween, she put on a bright blue jumpsuit and wore a dark wig. The whole look was based on what Perry wore when she went on that Blue Origin space flight with all women earlier this year. In the pictures Matthews put on her Instagram Story, you can see Bloom standing next to her with skull makeup on his face.

As per Daily Dot, people thought the whole thing was weird because Perry and Bloom only broke up a few months ago in June 2025. After they split, Perry started seeing Justin Trudeau, who used to be the Prime Minister of Canada. She even put out a breakup song that her fans think is about Bloom. So when these Halloween photos showed up, a lot of people thought the timing was pretty bad.

Matthews also posted another picture where she pretended to kiss the floor, just like Perry did after coming back from space. She wrote “TAKE UP SPACE!!!” over the photo. Perry got a lot of attention for kissing the ground when she landed, so it was pretty obvious what Matthews was copying.

When people saw the photos online, they had a lot to say about it. Some folks thought it was kind of mean to dress up as someone who just went through a breakup and then take pictures with her ex. Other people wondered what Bloom was thinking when he posed with someone dressed as the woman who had his kid.
