James Rolfe became one of the first true YouTube stars when he started his Angry Video Game Nerd persona, first known as the Angry Nintendo Nerd, way back nearly a decade ago. Since then, he has blown up with his own movie he made and even a video game, and now it has been revealed that his game is getting a sequel.
Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures released last year for PC and arrived on the Wii U a few months ago. The game brought together classic NES tropes that we know and love and combined them with classic elements of the AVGN.
FreakZone Games developed the first game for ScrewAttack and now they have revealed that Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures 2 is coming.
This news came courtesy of FreakZone Games themselves on their Twitter, following their reveal at SGC. In their tweet, they said that Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures 2 is coming to both PC and consoles, with Nintendo definitely on the console side, with others possible.
The other great news is that their move to Unity will prevent their being such a long delay between the PC and console releases. Hopefully as a result, we’ll see a simultaneous release, but no release window was given at this time.
