The developer of the hit game Ark: Survival Evolved, Studio Wildcard, is currently in some legal trouble with developer Trendy Entertainment. The dev claims that their former creative director, Jeremy Stieglitz, joined Studio Wildcard and ignored a non-compete clause.

The news was revealed by Kotaku, where they report that Stieglitz signed a clause saying that he wouldn’t work for a rival company for one year when he left Trendy Entertainment in 2014. However, they claim he joined Studio Wildcard secretly to get around the clause.

Trendy Entertainment says that Studio Wildcard has a big impact on their business with Ark: Survival Evolved, while also revealing that Stieglitz’s wife, Susan Stieglitz, is the co-founder of Studio Wildcard.

It remains to be seen what will happen with this case, though Studio Wildcard has attempted to have the case dismissed.
