As we get closer to the October release date, more Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 news is dropping each day. The game’s producer shared a lot of info at Gamescom earlier this month.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s producer, Masayuki Hirano, shared in a recent interview more interesting news about what’s included and what’s not included.
First of all, the length of the game’s story is expected to be the same as the previous Xenoverse. This time around though, there are far more features that have been added to prolong the longevity.
The game will also have a World Tournament mode and this will be added early on in the game’s life cycle. Much like the first game, there won’t be any ring outs.
In terms of characters not included, you won’t see Kid Goku or the second forms of both Frieza and Cell. Many of Buu’s absorbed forms are also not going to be added.
Another form that’s not in the game is the Kaioken version of Super Saiyan Blue Goku. This form was seen recently in Dragon Ball Super so it would have been too late to add it in.
Even though these character forms are not in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Hirano promises that the team will add them in if enough fans request them.
