Battleborn is targeting a resolution of 1080p on both PS4 and Xbox One according to an interview between Gamingbolt and 2K Games representative Chris Thomas.

When asked about whether the game would reach 1080p on both consoles Thomas said ““Yes, absolutely [it will run at 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One]. That is always the plan. The game is still in development so you never know. But 1080p is the goal and that is what we are trying to achieve.”

Of course, we have heard this quite often with this round of consoles, and have occasionally been disappointed. The PS4 has usually been able to handle games running at 1080p, but the Xbox One has had to be downgraded every once in a while, sometimes with unique features to help alleviate the visual drop.

2K is publishing Battleborn, which is being developed by Borderlands creator Gearbox. The game is a co-op first person shooter that features elements drawn from the MOBA genre. Featuring both single and multiplayer elements, Gearbox has described Battleborn as a “Hero Shooter”, implying that it will play quite differently from their hugely popular FPS series.

Battleborn will launch in late 2015, or early 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
