As expected, the Battlefield 4 beta will arrive just weeks ahead of the game’s full release, in early October. Today at Gamescom, Karl Magnus Troedsson took the stage to discuss Battlefied 4, revealing the beta release window.
While Troedsson did not reveal an exact date, early October will have to suffice for now.
The Battlefield 4 Beta will be accessible by all pre-order customers of Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The Battlefield 4 Beta will also be available for Battlefield Premium subscribers as well.
DICE has not revealed whether the beta will be rolled out in segments, into what will ultimately become a completely public beta at some point ahead of release. Troedsson did say that “everyone” would be able to try it in October.
Battlefield 4 is due out in late-October on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Update: Following the announcement, Fans have asked DICE about an exclusive beta period for pre-order customers. Their official response was that they don’t have any information on it at this time, but it could be expected that this exclusive beta period will arrive ahead of the open beta.
