Dice has released a new gameplay trailer for Battlefield V and in it we see some new multiplayer settings for the game. The new footage also includes a first look at some of the Battle Royale mode for Battlefield V as well.
Like Fortnite’s storm it seems that Battlefield V will be using a map shrinking mechanic of its own. As seen in the trailer, it appears that Battlefield V Battle Royale will use a fiery circle to push players into combat.
The short footage also seemingly confirms that vehicles, like tanks, will play a major role in the Battlefield Battle Royale experience as this cinematic shows off a soldier on foot heading into a smaller area surrounded by fire, who is then joined by a tank in the zone. It’s also seemingly confirms that destruction will play a role in the Battle Royale experience as this tank smashes right through a building.
We’re still waiting to see the game in action, so it’s hard to tell, but these core features from the Battlefield series are really sounding like they are going to make a great Battle Royale game.
The bulk of the trailer does focus on traditional multiplayer and some gorgeous visuals at that.
Battlefield V is slated for release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 16th.
