EA and DICE are not sitting idly by while Activision rolls out its upcoming Call of Duty: Elite service. They’ve got an answer, and that answer is the Battlefield 3 Battlelog. Today EA revealed more about what to expect when the free add-on to the game arrives with Battlefield 3. In a recent Battleblog post, DICE explained how Battlefield 3 players will experience the addition to the game. From what it looks like, it’s going to be an addition that adds a more social connection for players, away from the console.
The recent explanation claims that with the new Battlelog features, players will be able to build a network of friends, communicate with other gamers, and compare Battlefield stats with their freinds, and foes. It’ll show you what each player in your network of Battlefield friends are doing. The feature will also keep you keen on all the pertinent stats of your solider. Each and every shot fired, or action performed on the Battlefield will be accounted for, and you or others can see what you’re doing right or wrong in the game.
“We want to make Battlefield 3 a more social gaming experience and it all starts with Battlelog,” says Fredrik Loving, Battlelog Producer at DICE. “We are changing how you communicate, play, compete and share content with their friends, extending the in-game experience to be accessible from your home computer, on your handheld devices while commuting, or wherever you may be.” – DICE
