Some recent news across the last few days has made those in the amiibo hunt feel a little bit of hope towards acquiring some of the rarer figures without spending a fortune. Yesterday, we learned that Japan was going to be getting a new run of a few of them, including Villager. No word has surfaced about reprints in the US outside of Marth, but it appears that two of the rarer Wave 2 figures will be making their way to some Best Buy stores this week.
According to GSAgent_Zero, the Best Buy employee that was verified on Reddit and provided us last month with information on Meta Knight, multiple Best Buy stores around the country are getting brand new shipments of Little Mac and Captain Falcon amiibo as soon as this week. This was corroborated by other verified Best Buy employees, as well as those who just happened to call their local store and had them look it up. These are far from a reprint or anything, but instead amiibo stock found in various Best Buy warehouses it appears.
The system currently only shows that these amiibo are in transit, so no one know when any of them will be here, but it is possible they could start to arrive as soon as tomorrow. GSAgent_Zero estimated that around 15% of stores nationally will be getting a shipment of around four to eight of each, so it definitely is worth looking into if you are looking for either.
