The wait for Skyrim DLC on the PlayStation 3 may be coming to and end, if a recent update from Bethesda Game Studios is any indication. The company which recently revealed a new slate of DLC called Dragonborn, tweeted that they are “close” on PS3 DLC for the RPG.
“To update: we’re also close on new Skyrim content for PS3 and PC,” said the developers via Twitter.
Bethesda has alot of catching up to do on the PlayStation 3. Skyrim Dawnguard and Skyrim Hearthfire have both missed the PlayStation 3 thus far, and there’s been no indication on whether or not the console will see these pieces of DLC at all. Earlier this year, Bethesda surprised Skyrim players on the PlayStation 3 by announcing that they were having quality issues with that platform, and wouldn’t be releasing any DLC for the console until the problems were resolved.
It looks like that long wait is about to pay off for PlayStation 3 players. Skyrim’s next scheduled DLC is expected to arrive on the Xbox 360 early next month, with the ability to ride dragons as well as return to areas from Morrowind.
