BioWare Confirms Mass Effect 4 Won’t Be An Exclusive To One Platform

BioWare has reassured fans that Mass Effect 4 will not be an exclusive for any platform as other third party developers have done recently.

Mass Effect 4’s Senior Development Director, Chris Wynn, confirmed this on twitter:

“No crying necessary, it is not an exclusive.”

This answer was in response to a fan who said he’d cry if Mass Effect 4 was to become an Xbox One exclusive. The fan can rest easy as the game is not going exclusive to one platform.

You cannot blame for the fan’s paranoia of Mass Effect 4 going exclusive to Xbox One. Remember, the first Mass Effect game was an Xbox 360 exclusive back in the day. That was until it was eventually ported to the PC and PS3.

Also, people assumed Rise of the Tomb Raider would be a normal third party release. However, the game is now a Xbox One/Xbox 360 timed exclusive. This caught many people off guard last year.

It’s expected Mass Effect 4 will be finally revealed in full at E3 2015 next week. It’s expected the game will be on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. A release date could be likely in 2016 if things are going well. BioWare has been working on the game for many years now.
