Sony revealed the first multiplayer footage of Black Ops II: Declassified on the PS Vita at their Gamescom press event. In a trailer to close out their show, the PS Vita version of the popular shooter is going to have some unique content on the handheld which includes unique single player missions and maps that were created specifically for the Vita version of the game.
Described as “Covert Single Player Missions” the brief footage looked similar to the Special Ops missions that have been found in previous Call of Duty games, showing off a couple of breach and clear scenarios that have become a staple in the Call of Duty franchise.
Making good use of the Vita’s mobility, multiplayer will be available on the go through Wi-Fi. 4v4 multiplayer will be supported on the handheld and the game appeared to be running at break neck pace. While obviously not as crisp as its console counterpart, those looking for that multiplayer fix while away from home may finally get an answer to that problem when Declassified launches on the Vita later this year.
