Black Ops 2 Vengeance Double XP all weekend long

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players will have all weekend to get their Double XP bonuses by playing online. As is the case with most of these double XP events, this one arrives just ahead of the release of the Black Ops 2 Vengeance Map Pack, slated to arrive on July 2nd.

This Black Ops 2 Double XP Event runs from June 28th until July 1st. One day later you’ll be able to scoop up the Vengeance Map pack, which will feature four new multiplayer maps and all new Zombies map and additional weapon. You can find a trailer of the new maps below, which showcases Cove, Detour, Rush, and Uplink (a remake of a previous Black Ops map).

The downloadable content comes as part of the Black Ops 2 Season Pass for those who’ve pre-purchased the content, but will also be offered as a standalone expansion for the multiplayer side of the game. This third map pack will cost 1200 MSP when it arrives next week. For those waiting on the new content for the PlayStation 3 and PC, you’ll need to wait another month to get your hands on it.
