Black Ops Cold War Players Are Losing Zombies Camo Progress Due to a Bug

Recommended Videos

Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War has been seeing the introduction of numerous updates in recent times to upgrade the overall game experience. However, intensive updating can always have its drawbacks and un-noticed glitches sometimes slip through the cracks, this was seen in the most recent update with a devastating glitch appearing within the Zombies mode of the game. Players’ hard-earned camos are suddenly disappearing and the progress erasing entirely due to a bug. This article will cover everything you need to know about the latest issue.

The Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War zombies glitch can be encountered randomly which makes it even more unnerving for dedicated fans around the globe. After booting up the game following the update, certain players realized the tragic incident occurring with their camo progression completely disappearing and being left with the ashes of simply looking at the camos they had once unlocked with prowess and determination now being locked once again.

Even camos such as Dark Aether, one of the toughest camos in the game to unlock was also, unfortunately, lost to the void — quite literally. Given that the issue affected an apparent vast range of players, the discussion about the glitch made its goose chase trek to social media where players voiced their opinions on the latest glitch to arise from the diverse update.

Reddit user u/noeltorious posted the above video showcasing the extent of the bug and how it affected their own camos. Within the video, it is clear to see that within every category, the camos that require unlock progression are all now locked once again. It should be noted however that the base camos are still all available to use which indicates that the glitch does indeed primarily affect the camos that do require effort and progression to obtain.

For players wondering when this issue will be fixed, at the time of writing there is no official announcement of when the Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War zombies glitch will be remedied. However, Treyarch will likely be working on a fast fix for the camo defect as it will significantly affect the experience for players who enjoy using particular camos and working towards them. Have you encountered this mysterious camo glitch in the zombies mode?

Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
