The new Call of Duty: Black ops 3 teaser trailer has been released, and it is certainly an interesting one. While there isn’t any in-game footage, the three minute video gives players a look at the world they will be inhabiting in the upcoming first person shooter game. Taking place in the near-future, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 seems to feature some darker tones, with almost pre-apocalyptic hints of a future run amok. Technology is the big focus here, showing various advancements in wearable technology as well as body modification. Athletes with robotic limbs lead into soldiers with highly advanced technological upgrades.

While there has been some decent information released about Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, so far nothing has been shown of the actual gameplay. Of course, this is still Call of Duty, so there won’t be any massive shifts to the action, but with Advanced Warfare making some big innovations to the formula, many are wondering what could be next. This trailer seems to indicate a further push toward the future, with more technology playing a role in the game. Of course, the last game had the Exosuit, but this seems to hint at actual cyborg-like modifications to your soldier.

Hopefully we will find out soon as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set to be revealed on April 26th.
