Call of Duty: Ghosts Blitz Mode explained

Call of Duty:Ghosts has been introducing new maps and modes since multiplayer was fully revealed just a short while ago, and one of those was announced at Gamescom. Infinity Ward introduced another brand new multiplayer mode called Blitz Mode, alongside a map of a completely-blown-apart urban setting called Chasm.

Blitz is like a spin-off to Capture the Flag, but instead of having to “capture a flag” from the enemy team, players are obliged to fight to get into small capture points and as a result they score points by entering the opposing team’s zone. The clever thing here is that immediately after that player captures that point, he spawns back to his team’s area. This avoids scoring from flooding players through a portal to rack up points quickly. The capture point goes into a cool down, giving a defending team an opportunity to execute anyone in that area. The mode sounds like it needs some real strategy planners on each team for proper defense and coordinated assaults.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to release on November 5th for PC, Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360 while the PS4 version is set on November 15th.
