Capcom has already released Alex as the first DLC character in Street Fighter 5. The next character that will be added as DLC is expected to be Guile.
As noted by WCCFTech, Capcom UK Community Manager, Matt Edwards, made this announcement via the WinnerStaysOn Sessions posted on Twitch.
Edwards did not elaborate on a release date, but Guile is one of the six DLC characters that are expected to be added in Street Fighter 5 within the first 12 months of launch.
With Alex already out and Guile on the way, this means Balrog, Ibuki, Juri and Urien won’t be out until later in the year. As for other DLC characters in Street Fighter 5, Capcom has not made any new announcements on that just yet.
Fans don’t have to worry about spending their own money to pay for the new characters. You can earn in-game ‘Fight Money’ so that you can use it to buy the new characters. Earning money in Street Fighter 5 is a little time consuming so you have to play the game for several hours to earn enough money for a new character.
New characters aren’t the only thing that will be out later this year. Capcom promises that it will add a much better Story Mode to the game this June and more.
