After years of begging from fans, Crash Bandicoot is finally making his triumphant return in a full game release: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Now, this isn’t a brand new title, instead Activision is going back to Crash’s roots with a remake of the original trilogy. But this is way more than just a remaster, it looks like they have completely reworked the games with new graphics and gameplay.

“Your favorite marsupial, Crash Bandicoot, is back!” begins the description of the new trailer. “He’s enhanced, entranced & ready-to-dance with the N. Sane Trilogy game collection. Now you can experience Crash Bandicoot like never-before in Fur-K. Spin, jump, wump and repeat as you take on the epic challenges and adventures through the three games that started it all, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. Relive all your favorite Crash moments in their fully-remastered HD graphical glory and get ready to put some UMPH in your WUMP!”

The visual upgrade is pretty impressive here, taking the PS1 games and making them look brand new on PS4. The gameplay has also been maintained, keeping to the mixed 2D and 3D nature of the original. The Crash games were among the first to make it big when consoles shifted toward gameplay in three dimensions, so there was a lot of experimentation going on at the time.

PlayStation Experience is just getting started and we’ve already had a few bombshells. Along with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, there was also the announcement of The Last of Us Part 2. It seems like Sony has made this a big show, so keep an eye out for more as the weekend unfolds. What would be the biggest thing they could announce? Let us know in the comments.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will hit PS4 in 2017.
