Camilla Luddington has been selected as the voice behind Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider title from Crystal Dynamics. Â Luddington will voice the iconic character after being selected from an international pool of talent. Â Square Enix says that Luddington stood out among the crowd with the ability to deliver the “youthful tone” Â necessary for the younger version of Croft.
“This has been one of the most important jobs for us to get right,” says Darrell Gallagher of Crystal Dynamics. Â “We are demanding far more from the voice and performance acting than ever before as we take the franchise in a new direction.”
If you recoginize Luddington, it’s probably from her recent appearances on Californication and/or True Blood. Â Tomb Raider was recently pushed back to a March 5th release date for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
