Dark Souls 2 will arrive early next year on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, but it looks like From Software has not ruled out the possibility of bringing the game to the PS4 and Xbox One as well.   With the growing popularity of the Souls series, From Software is interested in bringing their titles to the next-generation consoles.   Confirmed in a recent pre-TGS interview with Eurogamer, Yui Tanimura confirmed the possibility.

“Only existing consoles and PC are confirmed,” said Tanimura.  “I think it has to be decided for next generation consoles like Xbox One and PS4.  My personal opinion as creator is that I’m really interested in next generation and I’m willing to make games for PS4 and Xbox One.”

Dark Souls 2 will be released in early March on the aforementioned platforms, we’ll have to wait and see if From Software sees the investment in developing the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a financially viable avenue for the brutally difficult action-RPG.
