Dark Souls 2 will arrive early next year on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, but it looks like From Software has not ruled out the possibility of bringing the game to the PS4 and Xbox One as well. Â With the growing popularity of the Souls series, From Software is interested in bringing their titles to the next-generation consoles. Â Confirmed in a recent pre-TGS interview with Eurogamer, Yui Tanimura confirmed the possibility.
“Only existing consoles and PC are confirmed,” said Tanimura. Â “I think it has to be decided for next generation consoles like Xbox One and PS4. Â My personal opinion as creator is that I’m really interested in next generation and I’m willing to make games for PS4 and Xbox One.”
Dark Souls 2 will be released in early March on the aforementioned platforms, we’ll have to wait and see if From Software sees the investment in developing the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a financially viable avenue for the brutally difficult action-RPG.
