It’s always a competition when a big game is coming to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as fanboys from each console claim one is superior to the other. However, a new comparison video that puts Dark Souls 3 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One head-to-head has one console version coming out the clear winner in the graphics and frame-rate department.

The comparison video comes via Digital Foundry, where several different facets of each version of the game’s quality are put to the test. It was recently revealed that Dark Souls 3 runs at 900p on Xbox One compared to PlayStation 4’s 1080p and that’s confirmed here, though the shadow quality is also lower in the Xbox One version compared to the PlayStation 4 version.

While both versions of the game are also capped and v-synced to 30fps, the PlayStation 4 version holds a consistent 30fps compared to the Xbox One version that occasionally suffers some drops that bring it down to the low-to-mid 20s.

Dark Souls 3 will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 12th. Check out the PlayStation 4 vs Xbox One comparison video below.
