Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is heading to PS4 and Xbox One, but Team Ninja still plans on releasing Dead or Alive 6 sometime in the future.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will be out for PS4 and Xbox One next year, but is just pretty much a remaster of the original game released for PS3 and Xbox 360. It will not be a huge increase in visual fidelity because of this. Sure it looks nice, but it won’t look as good if it was to be an all new game.

Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi was interviewed by Japanese site Gamer. Hayashi had a chance to speak about Dead or Alive 6 for a brief moment. He said that he intends to make the new game after Last Round is finished. He also said the game will make full use of the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

Dead or Alive 6 obviously hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s pretty cool Team Ninja already has it in its sights. Tekken 7 plans to make use of the PS4 and Xbox One fully as its using Unreal Engine 4. Mortal Kombat X also looks good on the newer hardware.

I’m pretty sure Dead or Alive 6 will look great, but first we will have to wait for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round to come out first.
