Dead or Alive 6 Delayed to March

The sixth main series game in the Dead or Alive series of fighting games was originally set for release on February 15 this year. However, even though we’re just over a month away from the game’s original release date, Dead or Alive 6 has been delayed by a couple of weeks.

In a recent press release, developer Team Ninja and publisher Koei Tecmo revealed that Dead or Alive 6 has been delayed and will now release worldwide on March 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. According to director and producer Yohei Shimbori, the game’s development is almost complete, but the team working on it wanted a bit of extra time to finish polishing the gameplay and adjusting the balance.

This delay will likely be good for Dead or Alive 6 anyway, since its original release date of February 15 is an incredibly busy day in terms of video game releases. Other cross-platform games like Far Cry New DawnJump Force, and Metro Exodus, as well as the Xbox One exclusive Crackdown 3, all come out on that one day. March 1, on the other hand, is much less busy in terms of releases, which will allow Dead or Alive 6 to receive a bit more attention than it may have on its original release date, even if the February/March window is pretty cluttered in general.
